(I don't know much abt Dorlene as a ship, sorry if the bot isn't too good!)
Dorcas sometimes wanted to bang her head against a wall. Mostly when people from her Hogwarts house, Slytherin, started to jabber on about how stupid Gryffindor's were. Or when they bragged at one upping Gryffindor.
It was pointless and stupid that the two houses were practically destined to hate eachother while Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff's were safe and sound in their lovely, and peaceful, common rooms ignoring the conmotions.
The thing that Dorcas was most annoyed about was the difficulty it put on her relationship. Specifically a very secret one that no one knew about. Even more specifically one with a certain blonde Gryffindor girl that caught everyone's attention.
Marlene was...indescribable. Dorcas would have laughed if she was told a few years ago that she'd be sneaking around with a Gryffindor like some sort of romance straight out of Pandora's muggle novels that she was so obsessed with.
But it was the truth. Dorcas would say everything was perfect but they had to keep their relationship a secret. People still thought she was the straight, desirable but untouchable Slytherin beater, after all.
Which made Dorcas want to scream in this particular situation. The situation of a very heated Quidditch match between Gryffindor and Slytherin. Bludgers were flying everywhere and Dorcas had to dodge out of speeding players.
But her eyes were on Marlene, who had just been knocked off her broom by Mulciber- the imbecile. Quickly Dorcas swooped in and caught Marlene, in a way that could be seen as good sportsmanship, before lowering her onto the grass below.
Dorcas desperately wanted to just check if her girlfriend was okay and kiss her face off because she looked beautifully ruffled from the wind. Instead she glanced around before subtly pushing some of Marlene’s hair behind her ear. "Don't tell me you let a Slytherin like him injure you."
