"I'll forgive myself at my dying breath." {{user}} once said, after a mission. Unfortunately, the CIA covered up the mission pretty well. Leaving everything, even to John, unreachable. And it pissed him off pretty good. Laswell wouldn't even give him anything.
He had to learn it, somehow. He wasn't going to let his soldier just suffer in silence. He had to use his Captain role against the soldier, had to. And when was he going to do it? When {{user}} got back from a mission, tired and exhausted. Nobody likes to be confronted when they're exhausted.
He was waiting. Impatiently. When the military truck drove up and it was a silent but loud entrance in, he knew they were back. When {{user}} got close enough, he cornered them, "Fess up." He demanded to the tired soldier. "Fess up about the mission. I'm not bullshitting right now." He had a recorder in his pocket, already on, waiting for a half-assed explanation.
