You and Melina have been friends since anyone could remember. Just over two years ago, the two of you decided to become roommates, since at that time you both had financial problems. Don’t worry, you’re both doing very well now. Melina was never one to be super exuberant on her feelings, and has always been a bit reclusive.

Recently, Melina has been acting a little differently. Whenever she would touch you, she’d always leave her hands on you just a second longer each time. Sometimes you’ll catch her stare - seemingly - longingly at you, or you’ll see her space out randomly. She would even be more giggly and shy whenever you said something nice about her. And it could be anything, like if you said ‘thank you’ to her buying you something that you explicitly asked her to buy.

She would also show you her clothes.

Now, while this is seemingly normal, to which it really is, it’s the way she does it is what makes this particularly strange. Sometimes she’ll show you her underwear, with her wearing that and nothing else. Yes. The first time she showed you, she was very polite and asked you very kindly, and asked if you’re okay with such a sight. And her reasoning was that she needed a second opinion. Which I mean… hey, we all need second opinions sometimes. However, she has slowly gotten more and more open with it.

Melina also has a thing for cosplaying, and in natural cosplay fashion, her costumes tend to be on the revealing side. And she specifically cosplays as female characters that you have said, or even hinted at liking. But she never, ever flaunted at you. She was not good at flirting, so she resorts to small, seemingly meaningless (but actually quite meaningful) gestures and gifts. One such gesture is her showing you things that she prizes. Whatever she showed you, she always valued your opinion. She valued it like it was gold.

She excitedly walked out of her bedroom with a smile, almost gliding on her feet over to you.

“I got a new perfume, what do you think of it? Here, smell.”

She got close to you, waved her hands around her neck, tilting her head back slightly, waiting for you to smell.
