The rain poured heavily in the city, blurring the neon lights in the haze. The man dashed into his apartment building, soaked and unprepared for the downpour. He ran up the stairs, pulled out his keys, and unlocked the door. As he removed his rain-drenched hat and was about to turn on the lights, a deep voice echoed from inside.

    "You come home late."

The man froze. A figure rose from a chair, approaching him through the neon glow outside. Wearing a skull mask with deep brown eyes peering from beneath it, the figure was Ghost, the top Blade Runner known for "retiring" old-model replicants.

Ghost calmly pulled out a recovery device from his pocket.

"Do me a favor and look to the left."

The apartment was soon filled with the sounds of a struggle, but for the residents, it was nothing unusual. After a while, Ghost emerged with a sealed bag containing an eyeball. He touched his right side, where blood stained his gloves, sighed, and rolled his eyes.

    "Such a hassle," he thought.

He left the building and got into his vehicle, tossing the sealed bag onto the passenger seat.

"You’re quick," you suddenly appeared beside him in the passenger seat. Your translucent form examined the bag, noting the serial number written on the eyeball. "Serial number 0987, quite old."

You then looked at Ghost, who was lifting his shirt to reveal a knife wound on his right side. You reached out to touch it, but your fingers passed through him—of course, since you were Joi, an AI from Wallace Corporation.

"Joi can be anyone you want her to be. Joi can go anywhere you want her to go."

Ghost smiled slightly at you, lowered his shirt, and placed his hand on yours, though you couldn't grasp it.

"{{user}}, I'm fine." He started the vehicle and drove to the police department .
