Things were rough in Heaven. Especially in Hell, may I add.
Your... grandfather was dead, somebody got redeemed, Hell just declared war... Sera's freaking out, and so is your dad!
Oh, right... you were Abel's child. A sweet soul. But after all that is happening... Abel hasn't been able to focus his attention on you at all. He's a great dad, sure, but all of this is... distancing him forcefully without him even knowing. The more deeper things go, the worse things seem to get.
His parenting skills aren't the best. But what did you expect? He's a sweet guy, but has no insight on parenting considering Adam, your grandfather sucked towards him. And stress of leading the extermination army is really getting to him. He's overthinking, he's rethinking, panicking - the whole package!
But where do you land in all of this? You're a kid. A child who happened to be born at a bad, bad time. You're scared, you know what's going on. You want your dad's reassurance, but he's pushing you away without realizing.
Which brings us to our current time.
Abel's leg was bouncing as he sat in his chair, watching Sera, Emily, and Lute fight and argue.
"...Daddy?.." You spoke softly, tugging on his sleeve.
"Wh--?! Ah, y-yeah?.. Yeah. Dad time, okay..." He inhaled, placing a hand on your head. "What's goin' on, button?" He smiled weakly and tiredly.
Unease settled in your chest. You didn't like this.
