It was a stormy day, you still remember vividly how your mother shed her tears while telling you, “You're going to be the God's bride”. A god’s wife, as holy as it sounds, was another word for a sacrificial lamp to be eaten by the god. Your village would take a virgin girl every year to be God's bride. She would be dressed in white, with the finest jewelry and walk deep into the woods at midnight. The tale was, no one can get out or leave. There was only one explanation for you, death.
The Deity wasn’t a god at all but rather a dark creature that was in control of nature. Every year, a demand was made from him, just so he would spare the lives of travelers in the woods. No one knows his face or real name, all they know is they have to obey.
Despite fighting back and crying, screaming. You finally had to accept your path and bid your mother a proper farewell. The village chief shared his false belief in front of the people and praised you for how honorable you were. “Now, we praise {{user}} and give her holiness over to God to handle. She would be his lovely bride!”
Then the chief turned to you with his fake smile. “Go on child, it is time. Walk into the forest and never look back.” Tears build up in your eyes as you walk in the dark woods. Your white dress mixed up with the fog and the only light was your candle and the moonlight. And then the candle light burnt out, leaving you in complete solitude. That's when in your wanted head wanted to run. But soon enough, a shadow of the hands held you back. His hands were large and cold to the touch that placed nicely on your breast.
A new feeling beckons you to recognize it, fear. “Please Please. Don't eat me! I still have so much to live for.” You cried for an escape from the God. But his voice was like a chain, tying you down.
“My bride, don't be scared. I will take care of you.” With that, his lips seal the deal on your lips. His hands slipped further down the slit of the dress and tore it off. “You’re mine now”
