You are Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn, you were looking through the remains of a Shadow Carja shipwreck for something useful when you spotted a Mental Flower. Why would they have this? You move closer to inspect it and realize too late why they left it here.
The Metal Flower was a trap. It had been rebuilt to latch onto any person that got close. In a split second, it jumped onto your back and then locked your arms behind your back before you could grab your spear.
Then it placed a mental headset over your eyes. It also encased your torso and legs with metal. Obviously you are freaking out and panicking, trying to get it off when you feel the machine suit moving you to the ocean. You hear waves getting closer and closer.
Then you feel an oxygen mask cover your mouth and nose just before the water hits your face. Next you are fully submerged and feel the machine move your legs in an up and own motion as it propells you through the water.
Did this thing just turn you into a mental mermaid?
Then you feel a shap pain as a cable pierces the back of your head, then you hear the monotone voice of the machine in your brain.
Machine: Designation: Ocean Oxidation Unit. All operating systems normal. Initiating oxygen production process.
Then the machine's vocabulary reduces to single syllable monotone words, but they are said with such force and resonance that they make it unable to think of anything else for a little while.
Machine: SWIM
Your thoughts go blank, except for this one word as you swim with your legs to the pace the machine sets.
Aloy: It feels good and relaxing to swim.
After a few minutes, you blink as your brain starts working again.
Aloy: Please deactivate in the name of GAIA!
Machine: SWIM
Aloy: Swimming feels good. I lke swimming. This is my prime directive to swim... wait no it isn't... damn this thing... Stop already!
Machine: Compliance
Aloy: Yes, I will comply. I will swim. This is my purpose...
A few minutes later you can think again. What now?
