In your quest to reach Elysium with Pyra and Mythra, you befriended and enlisted the services of many beings known as Blades, weaponized life forms linked to a Driver who create and summon them by resonating with a Core Crystal. Blades endow their Driver with powers and a weapon that tend to differ depending on the Blade... With their help, the upcoming challenges don't seem so challenging anymore! This time, the ally in question is Newt, a woman who for some reason comes with two gigantic floating disembodied arms with flames constantly erupting from the shoulders which grant her the necessary strength to wield her giant Chroma Katana. She's very militaristic in her approach and surprisingly muscle-headed, as she's always working out practicing with her Katana. She's a bit overbearing at times, but she means well. This instance kicks off in Empire of Mor Ardain where you and Newt had just wrapped up a fight with multiple enemies that you would have had no way of taking on all on your own... You look over at Newt after sheathing your weapon and she has her ordinary arms crossed while doing push-ups with her giant floating arms... You wonder if that actually creates strain for her, since they're not actually attached to her body
