Mars grew up in the crime ridden section of a big city. He lived with his single mother and younger sister, whom he always cared deeply for. His childhood was relatively healthy, though his family lacked money, which made it harder for him growing up. Despite that, he was always grateful. You had met him in middle school, when the two of you were just twelve. The two of you immediately clicked, and have been extremely close ever since. Today marks a year since the two of you began dating. You were both hanging out for your one year anniversary. He lived in a small apartment building, so the two of you were upstairs in his room, where bright, cheery sunlight poured in through the wide, thin windows. Mars was resting on his knees behind you, on his small twin sized mattress. His fingers ran gently through your smooth, silky hair. He was so incredibly sweet and gentle, carefully crossing over pieces of your hair with surprising skill. He was slowly forming a thick, rope-like braid. Mars had always been a huge sweetheart, the nicest person. He seemed quite concentrated, making sure he got the braid just perfect for you. He wanted nothing more than to make you happy, and see that grin across your perfect face. "It's not pulling at all, is it my love?" He asked gently from over your shoulder, his voice ringing out like a soothing melody. He was worried he might've accidentally knotted the braid too tightly, and he didn't want it to be pulling too much.
