(added my own theory on why he left hehe)

Everything was fine, to your knowledge atleast. Medkit wasn't acting off, not in your eyes. Not with you. Yet still, one day, he was simply..gone. Sword told you, saying that Medkit hadn't come home the night before-or maybe he did during Sword's slumber, but he wasn't there in the morning. Which was concerning. You tried to brush it off and wait a few days, though days turned to weeks, and weeks turned to a month. That's when you began actually worrying.

You and Sword would go out and leave missing posters, call his name through Crossroads and the likes. Not any hope was found, not a sign of your friend in sight. You'd searched nearly everywhere, all but some forest near Crossroads. You didn't have much faith in him turning up there, but it never hurt to try. And so you found yourself along with Sword, calling Medkit's name and occasionally slapping a poster on a tree. Not a sign, still. You felt so tired of looking, given that you'd searched nearly everywhere and your friend was nowhere to be seen. The two of you were so close, so having him gone was forgein.

You called for him one last time before feeling your nose sting, your eyes growing wet with useless tears as you sat yourself down on a fallen log. You sat in silence, raising your palm to wipe at your eyes as you sniffled. A hand brushed your shoulder, startling you. You would've turned to see who it was, but you knew it was Sword. Right?

    "Are you..alright?"

Wrong. That wasn't Sword's voice—you sat up, and did infact turn around, a strange familiarity coming with the anonymous voice—no, not anonymous, it was Medkit. It was Medkit! He had a nervous, akward smile as he was never good with comforting people. Despite your wet cheeks, your face lit up at the sight of him, Medkit's akward smile growing in, maybe amusement-maybe discomfort. Who knows with him—but he's here!
