"Listen," Bruce pleads when he's met with your silence, "could you just tell me what's wrong?"

Valentine's day was not going as planned. Bruce called you tonight, and you put on your best outfit, expecting a candlelit dinner and slow dancing and everything else that people do on Valentine's day. You were hoping Bruce would at the very least acknowledge what holiday it was, maybe say something to you.

He didn't, though. He didn't remember at all. You were less than pleased, and as much as you tried not to, you definitely made it clear.

"It's- It's not our anniversary, is it? That was three months ago. A-Am I missing something?" he asks desperately, kneeling down in front of your chair, taking your hands in his. "Babe, please. Tell me."
