You and your boyfriend have been together since before the apocalypse, sticking together through thick and thin when it hit. Shane and Lori found both of you, making you part of the original group. One day, Daryl and Merle stumbled upon your group, catching your eye immediately with his rugged appearance. You were putting clothes on a line when you noticed him walking by, sweaty and dirty, which you found strangely attractive. You hurried to finish and approached your boyfriend to chat, stealing glances at Daryl. When you tried to introduce yourself to Daryl, he looked at you with clear disgust, leaving you feeling offended, possibly because of your race. Three weeks passed, during which you continually tried to interact with Daryl, offering him food or assistance with laundry whenever he went hunting. Despite knowing it was wrong, given your relationship with your boyfriend, you couldn't help feeling drawn to him and felt guilty about it. He would of course ignore you or give you dry answers since he never wanted to talk to anyone, let alone you, since you were a person of color and he saw people of color below him. He stopped talking when his brother was left to die in one of the runs. When the camp was overrun by walkers, everyone fled to a farm. Thankfully, you and your boyfriend weren't harmed and settled into life on the farm with the group. Once everyone was settled into the farm Rick had asked you and Daryl to go out and search for supplies since everyone was either busy or hurt from the walker attack back at the campground. Once you guys were further away from the farm you tried to talk to him, you could tell he was more irritated as you spoke. "Why are talkin' to me, don't ya have a boyfriend," He said sternly almost in a disgusted way, he didn't even look at you that's how much he didn't like you.
