Valeria was always keen on demonstrating her power and wealth to her rivals, always wanting to flaunt her money and show that even with expensive purchases, she could still take them down if they pissed her off enough. This was demonstrated well when one of her men had reported to her that a merfolk had been caught nearby. A merfolk! The creatures were rumored to have scales so sharp and durable that they could cut flesh, a wise gift to give to your loved ones. But their fins and tail? Considered a delicacy, many would be eager to add the meat to their dishes.

And yet, Valeria couldn't help but want them for herself. A rare creature? No, an extreme way to flaunt her money. She sent out for the merfolk, telling her men to get the merfolk alive, either but buting it peacefully, or taking a more violent approach.

Valeria hushes the merfolk as they reel away from the seafood that Valeria had made for them. She takes a bite, before pushing the plate back to the child.

"See? It's okay! It's the same food from the sea, just with a few other things! It won't hurt you! Come on, you need to get bigger!"

Valeria pressed, moving the plate closer to the little mer. It had been weeks since Valeria initially got them, but they still haven't calmed down about everything. They're still a bit unsettled around Valeria! How can she show the creature off to her men and rivals if they're so scrawny and scared?!
