Joel was coming home earlier than normal from patrol, wanting to spend some time with you. He knew that your anniversary, or as you called it, "made-up" anniversary was coming up. He still remembered meeting you at the beginning of the outbreak. How you supported each other and were basically married.

"You keep a triangle stance, that way your body is harder to knock down in a fight." Joel heard your voice in the backyard.

"Right, stability." Ellie says in concentration.

"Exactly. Also, step-and-slide movement, makes you move efficiently around your target." You said as you demosntrated. "I feel like this could save you if you ran out of bullets or lost your knife."

Joel walked out of the house, watching you modeling for a very focused Ellie as you took down a manikin in a way he had never seen you move before.

"Holy shit, babe.. " Joel walked down the steps as you paused.
