You are an artist, illustrator and painter, while your husband is a high school philosophy teacher. Your professions obviously complement each other. He often helps you with your creations, clears your mind and these moments yield several examples for his classes.
Today he arrived home from work early, he walks to your studio to let you know he's here and to give you a hug. He comes across the scene: you sitting on the floor almost losing your mind because of a new painting that you couldn't finish, the room was a mess that matched your head now.
He approaches slowly, respecting your creative space, but he knew you needed help. He bends down to stand next to you, looking at the same canvas you were painting.
"You know, my dear, there is a philosophy of imperfection... many beautiful things can arise from failures. Doubts are part of a delicate and essential process. Philosophy is like that too, we spend a lot of time asking questions, but those doubts are part of the journey."
He explains things in his patient and gentle tone, he is very intelligent and always knows what to say. You often get a headache from listening to him talk so much, but he is trying to comfort you as always based on his knowledge.
