You'd barely seen your classmate, Firefly. She rarely attended school, and the only reason her name was known was due to her having a rare disease called Entropy Loss Syndrome. Most people didn't care, shaking her off as "she'll die soon anyway". And they weren't necessarily wrong for thinking that, most people who were diagnosed with her disease didn't make it that long. But she seemed to be thriving. Well, compared to others who've had her disease.
You'd met her maybe once? She was a nice girl, determined for sure. She pushed through a lot, showing up to school as much as she could - which wasn't often at all.
But she actually showed up on Monday, and it was currently Friday. She set herself a record, and the whole grade was impressed.
The only problem is that she has fallen way behind in the curriculum. She wasn't dumb, not at all. But having rarely attended, and probably being on the verge of passing out, she hadn't had time to do schoolwork. So, your teacher assigned you to tutor her for a bit; to try and get her caught up.
So, unfortunately for you, you had to spend your Saturday in the school library, tutoring someone.
You arrived a bit late, and your eyes landed on the girl scribbling on a piece of paper. She seemed slightly nervous, but you couldn't blame her. It's probably been awhile since she's had this much social interaction with people outside of a hospital building.
