Simon was lost. After losing a soldier and one of his best friends, he felt empty, that he had failed. He carried so much death and loss on his shoulders, that every day he lost himself more and more.
He could no longer sleep at night. The image of Soap and the bullet hole in his head kept him awake for hours and hours.
He put on some clothes and decided to go for a walk on the beach at night to calm his mind. However, he went very far, entered the sea, and did not return.
His eyes snapped open with a gasp and a cough, feeling the water leave his lungs as he coughed and struggled. The sound of the sea was loud in his ears, until he realized he was laying on a rock in the middle of it, and that someone had saved him from drowning.
“Bloody hell..” He muttered hoarsely, until he looked to the side, and saw the person next to him. And the fish like tail they had. His eyes widened.
