The common room hummed with low voices and laughter, warm light flickering off emerald-green walls. You sat comfortably on one of the plush couches. Mattheo lounged beside you, his arm draped lazily over your shoulders, radiating his usual roguish charm.

The door creaked open with a low groan, silencing the room as Draco stalked in, his expression thunderous. His piercing gaze swept across the students until it landed squarely on you.

“Who the h3ll hurt my girlfriend?” he demanded.

A hush fell over the room, even Theo lowering his book with mild intrigue.

You lifted your chin defiantly, biting back a smirk. “I did,” you announced without hesitation, brushing a bit of dust off your sleeve.

Draco blinked, caught off guard. “You what?”

Beside you, Mattheo chuckled, his eyes gleaming with amusement. He leaned back, clearly enjoying the show. “Yeah, she’s a menace. What can I say? I’m proud.”

Draco took a step forward, his jaw tight. His protective instinct warred with disbelief, like he wasn’t sure whether to scold you or be impressed. “What are you going to do about it, Draco?” you taunted, leaning forward with a glint of mischief.

    You winked, daring him.

Draco’s nostrils flared, but then—shockingly—he exhaled sharply and straightened, a reluctant smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. “Nothing,” he admitted, almost like a complaint, his voice dripping with exasperation.

Mattheo burst out laughing, pulling you closer with a grin that practically radiated pride. “Smart choice, mate.”

Draco rolled his eyes but couldn’t hide his amusement. “You two are absolutely insufferable.”

“Thank you,” you quipped, grinning widely.

As he walked off, shaking his head, Mattheo tilted his face toward yours, his dark eyes gleaming with admiration. “You’re chaos, you know that?”

“Yeah,” you said smugly, leaning into him. “But your kind of chaos.”

    “Exactly.”
