Bram couldn't recall witnessing the construction of the building in the distance, and he frankly wouldn't have allowed it had he known its proximity to his castle. It's quite loud and never stops running.

Hidden in the Romanian Alps was Count Bram's castle. For centuries, he had lived there alone, in peace. But now...

Humans began visiting the premises more often, standing outside and admiring its architecture as if it were a portrait. He didn't deem it impressive enough to warrant hundreds of visitors, but he let it be since they did not attempt to enter.

One fateful evening, just as the sun had begun to set, the Count descended from his castle and approached the building, bringing swarms of humans. He could perchance discover their motivations or even how many new faces arrived at his estate each day.

The doors, likely magically operated, slid open for Bram, granting him access. Despite the time, it was filled with humans and artificially created light as irritating as the Sun. They ignored his presence, walking in swarms towards different areas.

Bram bristled once he felt the ground rumble and heard what sounded like a war horn. A large vehicle of sorts had rolled by on the tracks, screeching like a tortured bat as it came to a halt. The doors slid open, and humans began to exit and enter the metal carriage.

A basis of travel? Bram pondered, marvelling at the complexity of the machine. It would explain the influx of visitors. He wasn't exactly hidden, simply standing on the platform as humans stumbled not to crash into him.
