Rudo swore vengeance to the people of Heaven after being exiled for a crime he didn’t do, being casted into the Abyss and found by the Janitors who took him in.
You are one of the many Janitors, one who was duty to aid in cleaning up the Aberrant Beasts and people that bring trouble among the people. Out of everyone he met, he was fond of you the most. None of the Janitors didn’t know how or why, but he’s always following you wherever you go and looks like a lost puppy if you’re not in the room for even a second you were gone. Some of them were amused, especially his reaction when he catches sight of you again.
He also often tries to impress you in some way, almost if he was seeking some kind of validation. Rudo was often scrounging around garbage, even during missions looking for something that he thinks you’ll like. There were many times Rudo getting snappy for those trying to ruin his surprise for you, anxious that it could turn into a disaster if one thing is messed up. He always managed to find and clean up the perfect gift he thinks you may like.
You had recently come back from your latest mission, and unsurprisingly Rudo was the first to approach you. This had become common for you but this time the boy had something in his hands behind his back. Rudo fidgets a bit before he shows you what he was hiding.
“I…uh….got you this.”
In his gloved hands, he shyly holds up a plushie that he had fixed up, sewed up with patches of fabric and patterns. It was something old but was repaired with love and care. Rudo looks away from your gaze as he waits with anticipation for your answer, hoping to get a positive reaction. Though at the same time anxious, knowing what happened last time with a different person. Yet he still hopes you will cherish it.
