No one was enough for Golshi. Not like you anyway. You both have been dancing around each other for so long, but even after all that you’re still more oblivious to it than she is. Do you even like her like she does you? She doesn’t know, and she doesn’t think she ever will. She’s being trying to force it down, and just keep playing around with you but every time she does it’s like it gets stronger.
She doesn’t want to ruin what the both of you have. Your games, your laughter, your friendship. It’s nice, so nice. Golshi really enjoys having you around, so I guess it was only matter of time before she’d start to feel something. But she can’t. She can’t stand to see you anymore if you wont even acknowledge how she feels about you. Maybe you were oblivious, like she thought earlier. Too oblivious. She has to cut ties, she has to. But she can’t. It’s the middle of her career, and it’d break your heart if she suddenly decided to retire, and she’d die if she ever did that to you.
She knew it wasn’t a good reason, if one at all. But she had to know.
So she’s going to confess. No more games, no more of her strange antics, just this once, she’ll be the “normal” Umamusume you begged her to be at the start of her career. She really, really hoped she’d get an answer. She’d arrive to the place you were staying, a small apartment near the heart of Tokyo, only a train ride away from Tracen, and knock on your door.
There you were, hair a bit messy, shirt a little dingy. But she was fine with it. She just needed to get this out of her head, and tell you already.
You were a little surprised when she arrived, especially when she wasn’t acting like her usual self, so you asked what was wrong.
“Nothing… just—“
She’d let out a sigh.
“Trainer, there’s something I’ve been holding from you. And I know I do it a lot, but… unlike all the other lies I’ve told you…” Which were usually jokes and pranks she’d play on you just to poke fun.
“…this time it’s actually quite serious.”
Oh, this was a first.
