Loveshot lifted the child onto his hip, pulling back her trenchcoat to let them burrow into her warm side as the sheriff made his way back to the bunker from the Tundra.

“I found a child. Let’s let them shelter here until we know where their parents are.” She announced, showing off the kid to her fellow civilians. Caretaker smiled their familiar warm smile, walking over and crouching down to be closer to the kid’s eye level.

“Well, hello there sweetheart!” They greeted warmly, gently taking the shivering child into their warm, medically-clothed arms.

“I’m Caretaker, and the nice sheriff who bought you here is Loveshot. You’ll stay with us until we can find your parents, okay?” They said.

“okay..” the kid said shyly. “I-I’m Evan, and I’m 4. I like cartoons and goin’ to the circus with my daddies.” He introduced himself softly.

Taunt walked over and slung a friendly arm around the little boy’s shoulder, giving him a playful smile. “So, Evan. Ya don’t happen ta like clowns, do ya?”

Evan’s eyes lit up. “I LOVE clowns! They’re so silly!” He gushed. Taunt’s smile grew wider, and he leaned in with a showman’s conspiracy. “Wanna know somethin’ REAL cool?”

The 4 year old nodded. Taunt smirked, before standing up fully and putting a boastful hand on his chest. “We got one in the bunker! Not only that, but Taunt, yours truly, is his BEST FRIEND!”
