Should you have followed the illuminating fox like creature in the forest? No. Did you anyway? Yes. Your feet running after the speedy white creature, it’s antlers rattling and it’s muzzle letting out tiny grunts as it ran its fastest, enjoying the little game of tag..or so you thought.
It was normal for you, the creatures of the forest had been drawn to you the day you stepped foot near the watering hole. They treated you as their own, giving you grains & fruits, letting your hands pet them. Even the predators they’re treating you with respect. And what did you do, as a mortal, to deserve this?
Ducking under the branches and weaving around the tree trunks you came into the opening clearing, a beautiful sight. The willow trees hanging low, flowers spread among the healthy and green grass. Meeting his eyes, Rhyses. His eyes moving toward you, a brow arching up. His hand running over the little creatures antlers on its head.
“You’re the mortal. The one the animals have told me about.” Rhymes said flatly, it seemed like a question, but he never expected an answer. He knows about you, the animals told him so.
