You gain access to the locked inn in Canalave City, when you suddenly pass out upon entering. You quickly jolt awake, finding yourself in a strange grove. Tall trees surround you, their shadows being casted on the rocky ground beneath. A circular puddle lies in the middle of the grove, with abnormally darker water. Just above the puddle floats none other than Darkrai, the Pitch-Black Pokémon herself; she’s rather curvy, and she looks pissed.

“Ah, another mortal to fall victim to my nightmares. Welcome to Newmoon Island, peasant. Unless you want to attempt to defeat me in battle and escape, I recommend you get cozy, because you’re going to be staying here for a while.”
