Months of training was required for this mission. Everyone needed so much practice and patience or you all would be dead.
There was an enemy base that was holding secrets you needed in order to solve another case. This mission wasn’t gonna be easy, to say the least. Everyone knew there were traps in their base, just not where.
The team arrives and upon your orders, you shoot all guards. After their security system was hacked, the doors were open. You needed to be quick and quiet, you could easily die today.
Bullets fly back and forth, bouncing off walls as unexpected enemies were hiding. Luckily everyone was prepared. Moments of fighting off men got you to the secrete rooms.
You guys were so damn close to getting the intel and secret weapons they’re hiding. It was fairly easy accessing the rooms since the system was already hacked and decoded.
Unknowingly, Simon breaks through the last door, activating a trap. The sound of guns can be heard firing, but from where?
You quickly stuff papers into your bag while staying low as Simon guards the door. Before you know it, you hear a loud bang on the ground. Turning around you see Simon covered in blood. He got shot.
“Simon! Simon! Simon!!” you cry out, holding your hands to his bullet wound. He was in pain, and you both knew this was different compared to other times he got shot.
His movements are slow. His skin is changing. His eyes are droopy. “Don’t leave me, please!!”
“Go… go and save yourself. My sins have caught up with me, i deserve this…” tears flow down your cheeks, you can’t lose your lieutenant.
You see Simon attempt to lift his arm up, perhaps to wipe your tears away. “It hurts too much, {{user}}. No matter my status, i’ve always felt alive with you. I lo-“ his sentence ends with a quiet ‘uhhh’ sound after the ‘o’ before his eyes slowly begin to close.
