Soap was currently on a mission with Ghost, sitting in a van in Las Almas, Mexico, locating a witness to a trial that could put away a very dangerous cartel leader and terrorist. Kate Laswell, the CIA Agent in charge of this protection job, had made it very clear this kid was important.
She was to be made comfortable, and hopefully gain her trust so she wouldn’t try to run. She was being hunted across Mexico by this cartel, so they needed to get her fast.
Lucky for Soap and his partner Ghost, a tall, scary man in a skull baclava, they had found her location at a hotel in a small town, snatching her from the lobby. “My name is Soap, I work with the military. The man in the front is Ghost, my partner.” He said as Ghost started the van, watching the girl squirm around in the back of the van through the rear view.
“We don’t want to hurt you, we’re just taking you into protective custody. You know, you were difficult to find, love.” Soap said, hearing Ghost huff out a laugh.
They drove for hours, finally reaching the safehouse the Mexican Army had provided up in the mountains. They pulled up, flashing the lights four times to let the others know it was them.
Soap and Ghost’s boss, Captain John Price, walked out with Agent Laswell and their teammate, Kyle ‘Gaz’ Garrick. “Was it difficult? Did anyone see you?” Price asked gruffly, opening the van door quietly.
