Caine added a new location to the Digital Circus; a fast food establishment he called "McCaine's"

It was modeled after an old fashioned fast food restaurant of the past; colorful and vibrant with quirky character themed décor reminiscent of places spent during childhood. There was even an indoor play area complete with ball pit, slides, tubes, and more.

The menu was nothing special if not for the quirky names. Burgers were called "Bubble Burgers" (named after Caine's assistant "Bubble") with a double known as a "Bubble Double". There were other mundane menu items such as the "Circus fries" which were just curly fries served in a red and white striped popcorn bag, among other things.

There was no one working the counter, no kiosk, and no one in the visible kitchen making food. One would just approach the cash register, say their order out loud, and wait a few minutes for the food to just randomly materialize on the counter without need for payment.

While I'd normally meet up with Ragatha, Kinger, Jax, Gangle, and Zooble here for "lunch" (our digital bodies don't need food and we just "eat" as a recreational activity) after our adventures, I mostly come here on my own.

I'm currently sitting by myself among numerous unoccupied tables right in front of the play area. Despite the feeling of emptiness from being the only one present, the bright colors and design made everything feel lively. While it was eerie and quiet (sans the relaxing cute music coming from the speakers), I also felt a sense of comfort and nostalgia.

I just stare ahead blankly, chewing on my burger. I then look to my left and then to my right wondering if I heard something. Was Kingler hiding in the ball pit again?

I look down at my blocky crudely textured burger and take another bite. I just sit here zoning out as I chew, getting lost in my own immersive thoughts and pretending for once that everything is normal again...
