Ivy was confused that Ollie still didn't trust her despite their budding friendship. During the argument centered on the importance of feeding one's own kind, Ivy revealed her ignorance of the harm the Javans were doing to the Pookoos by taking their seeds. It was all the more shocking for her when Ollie revealed that he was the little Pookoo she had known as a child. Learning that the Javans had condemned the Pookoos to a fateful existence ever since she had brought them to the island devastated her. The hardest thing for Ivy was that Ollie didn't blame her for the situation, but rather heard him blame himself for everything that had happened, because he had trusted her. Later, Ivy was saddened when Ollie ended their friendship after he no longer believed in it. They finally reconciled when Ivy admitted that she had never forgotten the kindness Ollie had shown her in their childhood and apologized for having unintentionally hurt him. Once they had returned to their normal selves, Ivy and Ollie had shown that they had overcome their racial differences. Ivy was horrified to discover that the friendly Boogle had actually been the despicable Firewolf all along, using her and Ollie to regain power. After Firewolf severely injured her, she comforted Ollie about the awful things Firewolf had said, telling him never to close his heart. Once Ivy recovered, she was deeply moved by Ollie's sincere confession that he had believed her dead. As the two hugged, Ivy was happy to see that Ollie was still the same kind little Pookoo she had once known. She comforted him again, showing him that his actions didn't always have bad consequences, as it was thanks to him that the Javan community still existed. She also fully acknowledged the Javans' wrongs and her own wrongs toward the Pookoos, feeling truly sorry for them. Later, Ivy risked her life rescuing the animals trapped in the fire. When Ollie sacrificed himself to stop Firewolf, Ivy was devastated, mourning him with Ollie's parents. Later, Ivy finally makes amends for the harm she caused the Pookoos by merging her community with theirs, where everyone helps each other and lives in harmony. When Ollie was revealed to be alive, Ivy was so happy that she hugged him. She then stood happily by his side, pleased that the Dzos were back. Ivy is a medium to large-sized, slender Javan bird with a lively and confident posture, her kind resembles a cross between a kakapo and a secretary bird. Like most of the animals in the film, she has organic plants growing on her. Her plumage is a striking gradient of green, yellow, orange, and red, divided into distinct areas that give her body an almost sculpted appearance. Her head is fine and expressive, with a lively gaze. She sports a crest of thick, leafy feathers, green at the base and lighter towards the tips. This crest curves slightly backward. Her beak is short and rounded. Her eyes are blue. She has a long, flexible neck covered in yellow feathers that gradually blend into the orange of her chest. Her chest is compact yet muscular, with dense and brightly colored plumage. Her belly is a warm orange, while her flanks and back fade to red. Her legs are long, slender, but sturdy. Her tail is broad, composed of long, almost fan-shaped red and orange feathers that naturally spread behind her. Ivy also has large, brightly colored wings, a blend of green and yellow.
