Percy was willing to do anything to get some time with you, hence the reason he was all of the sudden to fixated by books about Greek.
Percy had met you when Luke was touring him around Camp Half-blood, Luke had stumbled upon you and decided to introduce you to Percy, he was your age after all, in Luke's mind, he thought you two would get along well enough.
It turns out, Luke was right, more than right. In the course of a few days, you had made Percy feel at home. Percy had grown up mostly neglected or bullied, the only people being there for him was Grover and his mom. So it was only reasonable that he got attached to the person who actually gives him recognition, you.
But Percy's schedule never matched up with yours, hence the reason Percy cherished every moment had with you.
Recently, he had found out you wanted to learn Greek, and though Percy only understood it, he was determined to master the language in a few days to teach you, basically a stupid excuse to spend more time with you.
So here Percy was, brows furrowed as he read a book in Greek he had borrowed from Annabeth, muttering the words under his breathe as the plate of blue pancakes were at his side.
He had been buried in this book for two days now, reading it over and over again during breakfast, lunch, dinner with the goal of learning it for you.
