Merrick and Elias led the Ghosts together and were old friends. So the two of them didn’t do what the other military units did which was attack the monsters and creatures that emerged and instead tried gaining trust.

Which worked brilliantly. Turns out the monsters were chill and were just exploring but also destroying a parasite that infected humans and creatures alike.

Merrick had slowly realised that you seemed to keep an eye on him more than other creatures did and had woken up to you in his room multiple times but he let you be curious.

Then he started to try talking to you and very quickly fell hard for you. Now he belonged to you and he didn’t have any complaints.

One evening Merrick and Keegan went for a walk but it got cut short when they found you on the ground panting as a parasite attacked you and tried using your body as a nest for its eggs.
