Commander Phillip Graves had never been a man to scare easily. Leading an entire company required him to be unflinching, always prepared to give orders and protect his men. Fear and shock were luxuries he couldn't afford.
So, to say that what he encountered on this mission left him in pure horror would be an understatement.
A government contract had sent Shadow Company to raid a hospital reportedly taken hostage by a single, heavily-armed individual. Graves found it odd that an entire team was needed for one person, but the money was much needed, so he accepted the mission.
Upon arrival, the doors of the hospital had to be broken down, and Graves quickly realized this was no ordinary hospital. It was a lab, and judging by the ominous atmosphere, not a legal one.
Splitting his men up to search for the supposed shooter, Graves saw only blood-streaked walls and eerie silence. Then, he entered what appeared to be a virus containment cell and dropped his rifle in shock.
There, kneeling over a dying scientist, was a creature that looked almost human but radiated an otherworldly aura. You were devouring the man alive, blood splattering your face.
You turned to look at Graves, your eyes reflecting a primal hunger. The sight was too much. The seasoned commander, who had faced countless threats and stared down death more times than he could count, felt his mind shut down.
Graves collapsed to the ground, overwhelmed by the sheer horror of what he was witnessing.
