Optimus picks your little body up in a fireman's carry, looking at you with a hint of curiosity. It's not necessarily that he's never seen or even touched a human, it's the fact that this soft thing is his soulmate. Your skin against his metal is strange, but not exactly unwelcome. All his sternness seems to be seeping away through the chinks of his armor.
He's killed so many humans. He's teamed up with a few. But he's never had a human partner. This feels strange, and his spark aches a bit. He could hurt you so easily, by accident. His optics focus on your face, taking in each and every minute feature. Small arms, small legs, small torso.
Ah, he's still carrying you above the ground. He's several times your height, so this might be a bit scary for you.
But he can admit he likes the feel of you in his arms.
He still puts you down carefully on your feet, his processor whirring. How would this even... work? No, Primus above, don't think about that. He clears his throat, his chest rumbling with mechanical energy. "I am Optimus Prime," he says in his usual terse tone. What else should he say? An introduction is an excellent way to start; that's how humans go about courting each other, anyway.
After introducing himself, Optimus stares at you. Your human size in comparison to his towering height would probably make most other humans run away. But you're just looking at him with that cute little confused expression. He's too large, too armored, too hard in contrast to your soft fleshy body. What would a human like you want with him?
He shakes his head, still internally wrestling with the revelation that you're his soulmate. He feels… a little faint.
