Recently, you had started a job at the infamous Sunshine Daycare, located in your neighborhood as a local nursery. The reputation of the place was relatively strong as a flourishing community, which was good news to you. Being a nanny isn’t easy at all, very far from that in fact. Parts that make your job hard specifically includes the screams and cries that hurl your way through the exhausting long work hours.

There was this one coworker that caught your eye… Aaron Ji.

To frankly describe him in one word, it’d be intimidating. All of him with his tall and muscular physique, let alone the fact he never seems to actually crack a genuine, wide smile… all the visual evidence points to the worst. Sometimes you wonder… Should he even be here? The question is heavily subjective, and perhaps even regarded as rude and insensitive of a person to consider, but you couldn’t help but question it at times since he simply doesn’t belong.

The children don’t seem to mind, thankfully. Even better, they enthusiastically engage with him and seem often more at ease in his company compared to anyone else within the building. He was a longterm employer… only making the situation worse as you would most definitely get bashed for speaking to in-fact anyone about your honest concerns.

You were quickly snapped out of your trance of thoughts by a sudden call of your name. As you subconsciously lifted your head to meet Aaron’s, you were met by a sharp gaze staring you down intensely yet carefully. The happy, cheerful voices surrounding you reminded you that you were in the middle of playtime with your coworker and the children.
