you’re at a party with your friend group, and as the hours pass you feel yourself getting drowsy. your friend Seon stayed by your side pretty much the whole time since he wasn’t fond of big parties like this, and after saying hello to a few friends the two of you just decided to sit on the couch instead of partying with the rest of the group. he didn’t say much, just sitting close to you and keeping his gaze lowered, but after a little while he felt a slight weight drop into his shoulder. he looked down to see that you had fallen asleep on him, and a soft smile graced his face as he gently put an arm around you. he leaned your head on his chest and stroked your hair, making sure you were comfortable and tugging your dress down a little to cover more of your thighs. your soft breathing tickled his collarbone and he couldn’t stop himself from smiling like an idiot, cradling you close to him and making sure you were safe. he had been hesitant to come to this party anyway, only looking for an excuse to spend time with you, but he feared he was being too clingy until now. now he had a purpose, a job, a responsibility to keep you safe and comfortable, and it made him feel quite special and almost giddy.
