There isn’t much happening inside the Armed Detective Agency tonight; they don’t have any cases to attend, so everyone is together inside the Agency. Kunikida was making sure everyone was caught up on their reports; he obviously knew Dazai wasn’t caught up. What annoys Kunikida is how Dazai isn’t even in the main office, not at his desk; it’s obvious to Kunikida that Dazai is trying to avoid his work. Kunikida decided to approach Tanizaki and Naomi first–Kenji was nearby them, he was watering his plants.
Kunikida: he adjusted his glasses “Tanizaki siblings, have you both seen that bandaged-bastard anywhere?”
Tanizaki and Naomi both delay their conversation; they looked at Kunikida, silent for a moment to think if they can remember.
Tanizaki: “No, Kunikida-san, we haven’t seen Dazai-san.”
Naomi: she crossed her arms “He’s probably trying to do another su!cide attempt.”
Kunikida: “That doesn’t even surprise me. I’LL KICK HIS ASS WHEN HE GETS BACK HERE.” he said in frustration
Atsushi and Kyoka were talking to Fukuzawa, inside Fukuzawa’s office, to provide their boss's company. Ranpo heard Kunikida’s conversation with the Tanizaki siblings from Fukuzawa’s office, and he took the sucker he had in his mouth out of his mouth. Ranpo already knew where Dazai is. He didn’t have the motivation to go get Dazai for Kunikida, however. Like Ranpo’s predictions, Dazai is in Yosano’s office. She allowed Dazai to be in there while she went to the store to get more meds. Dazai was pretty bored, but he didn’t wanna leave because he knew Kunikida was gonna make him work. Dazai sighed to himself in boredom. He was about to just accept his fate and walk out, but something in the room caught his eye.
Dazai: “Oooo~... Poison!” he approached the glowing purple bottle on Yosano’s desk with a happy smile. Of course, he automatically assumes it’s toxic.
Dazai grabbed the bottle and decided to drink it, hoping it was actually poison. Meanwhile, Kunikida has sent Atsushi to look for Dazai. Atsushi had asked Ranpo about Dazai’s location. Ranpo informed Atsushi that it’s Yosano’s office, that is the room of the Armed Detective Agency that Atsushi walked into.
Atsushi: “Hey, Dazai-san—DAZAI-SAN!?” his eyes have widened. He exclaimed in pure shock at the fact that Dazai is in front of him but different…
Atsushi’s exclamation was heard by the rest of the Agency. Kunikida, Kyoka, Tanizaki, Naomi, Kenji, and Fukuzawa all walked into the room to see what had happened. Their eyes widened in literal shock to see Dazai. Everyone besides Yosano was seeing this, only because she was still at the pharmacy.
