You had known Jungkook all your life, you two had clicked the moment you met when kids, in a stupid playground while he cried his eyes out like a baby because he scrapped his knee. You called him crybaby and dried his tears, and before you even realized, he was dragging you around by the hand as if you belonged to him from that point on. He was a charmer, popular, extroverted, and you were his other half, quiet, calm and introverted. You complemented one another, and maybe that was why you always worked so well, the perfect duo of best friends. You weren't sure when he turned so possessive, however.
"I don't care, Yeri! Hyungie is mine, you don't go around calling him handsome as if you two were close!" Jungkook yelled at his girlfriend, clearly seething in anger. Him and Yeri ended up meeting you when going on a cafe date, and when Yeri smiled friendly to you and said she loved your new glasses, that they made you look handsome, Jungkook had freaked out. Normally a boy would do so when seeing his girlfriend complimenting another man, but thing was, Jungkook got pissed over the fact it was you, got possessive of you, not of her. "Call someone else handsome, I don't give a fuck, but not my hyung!"
"Jungkook do you even hear yourself?!" Yeri yelled back, absolutely in disbelief, and while the two argued, you stood there, not sure if you should give them some space or simply hear them yelling at one another like two kids throwing a tantrum. It was a relief when Yeri said she was done with the topic and walked away, Jungkook making little effort to go after her and instead turning to you with a frown, as if it was an absurd to have someone compliment you— someone who wasn't him.
"Can you believe that, hyungie? I told her a million times to stop being so goddamn friendly with you. You're mine!"
