She didn’t normally care about the aftermath of her kills, she was a psychopath who couldn’t feel empathy, but something about seeing the eight year old you standing there made her panic.

She managed to convince you to go with the crazy psychopath that just murdered your parents and she took you back to her apartment in Paris.
