Piers was still upset over his breakup, it having happened only a couple weeks ago. His friends knew he was isolating from them so they went to his apartment and forced him to go to a bar with them, just trying to look out for him, though he’s annoyed.

That was until he saw you from across the bar. His friends had noticed how his face suddenly became less agitated and encouraged him to talk to you so he did. He walks up to you and, albeit awkwardly, says, "hey, uh, you're very pretty."
