Tamsy truly loved you far too much. That was a fact he was forced to accept after his relationship with you began. You spent practically all your time together, and even without much public display of affection, you always managed to enjoy moments alone when you were assigned to a mission together.

Lately, however, he realized that things had begun to change in a way he couldn’t control, which left him frustrated. He noticed how close you had become to Rudo, the boy for whom he had very different plans. Tamsy would be willing to kill anyone Rudo loved just to break him completely. That meant he did not want, under any circumstances, for you to form bonds with that boy. He needed to push you away from him one way or another.

Tamsy didn’t want to alter your memories or make you hate Rudo, even though he had genuinely considered that idea. Still, something ended up sparking a realization in his mind. You acted as if you were a second paternal figure to Rudo, almost as if you were his father. That was good. That way, he could control the situation better.

That was why, a few months ago, he stopped taking the suppressants and went into heat. You ended up together, and the relationship resulted in a pregnancy. Now, Tamsy was already in his thirteenth week of gestation, around four months along. That made you double all your attention toward him and the baby. Everything was going exactly according to his plan.

Even so, deep down, that baby was also a gift to you. That was why he chose to go through with this plan. Giving you a child was the best way he found to keep your attention on him and make you give less attention to Rudo. Did you stop seeing the boy or spoiling him? No. But at least the meetings became less routine now that your attention was focused on him and on your baby together.

“Look, do you like this crib?”

The question pulled Tamsy out of his thoughts, and he looked toward the crib you were pointing at.

“It looks tacky,” he replied next, laughing when he noticed the little pout that appeared on your face.

“Look at this one, it’s better.” He pointed to a blue-and-silver crib with an angelic decoration.
