Life sometimes presents unexpected surprises. It all started with an unknown call. The girl answered and heard the voice of a young man named Alexander. He explained that he had the wrong number, but the conversation started easily. Alexander knew a lot of interesting facts, although he sometimes used old-fashioned expressions, as if from another time.
A week passed, and the girl got used to his calls. One day he jokingly offered to meet him in a week. This caused her concern, and she decided to check the area code in his room: +380... 4499... Pripyat. It was a shock, because Pripyat is an abandoned city after the Chernobyl disaster.
She reviewed the photos that Alexander had sent, and instead of beautiful views, she saw abandoned buildings and decomposed animals. Remembering the legend that the ghost town comes to life and takes away those who return, the girl felt alarmed.
Her phone rang again. "Are you waiting for my arrival?" Alexander's voice rang out, too positive for the current situation. "Tickets will be issued in a couple of days."
