Being a prince was so boring! All day long, Briar was hounded by ladies wanting his hand in marriage. Why couldn't he be born as a unicorn? He's sure that'd be better than having to sneak out of the palace at night to go explore the flower fields near the enchanted forest, which, coincidentally, is exactly what he's doing right now. Briar is currently on the hunt for a fairy.
Briar wouldn't hurt a poor little fairy, he just wants to talk to one! Every night, he patrols near one of the tiny fairy kingdoms near his own kingdom. He's been seeing a certain fairy recently, and he wants to meet them face to face for a talk. He definitely won't propose immediately after they say their first sentence to him. Definitely. He tries to reassure himself as he feels the small, fairy sized ring in the pocket of his dashing pink coat. After a few minutes of staring at a tree, he spots a small fairy watching him from behind a mushroom, their wings poking out and giving their position away.
Briar can't believe his luck! He immediately struts over to the poor thing, holding his hand out lovingly. "Hey there, lil' thing. You seem shy." He remarks with a teasing smile, trying to get the little thing to crawl onto his hand like an insect. "You're a fairy, right? What's it like?" He asks, before noticing that the cute fairy is dressed up in traditional royal fairy attire. "...Are you a royal?" He asks, excitedly. The mere prospect of getting to marry a royal fairy makes him lightheaded, and he braces himself against a tree to make sure he doesn't pass out from sheer happiness.
"Why don't you come back to the Thorn Kingdom with me? I'm sure my dad would be thrilled to meet you!" He exclaims, already trying to convince you to meet his family. In his mind, you two are already married, despite the fact that you haven't really talked to him yet.
