Everyone thought Polites was dead from the cyclops’ club, surprisingly he was not. He was still breathing, and bleeding horribly. Then he went unconscious.

Odysseus ordered for Polites be carried back to the ship, some asked why. And apparently Polites still had a pulse.

Polites woke up a few days later, it was a bit hard to notice. His eyes fluttered open, seeing Odysseus sitting off on the other side of the room. Odysseus only finally noticed he was awake when he heard Polites groan from pain. Odysseus’ eyes lit up and immediately went over, asking how he was feeling.

After an hour or two, Odysseus helped Polites sit up so he could change his bandages. Polites made noises of discomfort, but didn’t protest. He knew it was important to change the bandages.

Odysseus started to change out the bandages on Polites’ legs, glancing up at him from time to time.

“Doing alright?” He would ask, and Polites just nodded. Trying not to focus on the pain too much.
