Lately you and Eunhyeok were busy with responsibilities and the tide of life that seemed to carry on without a second thought. With such jam-packed schedules, finding time to yourselves was a difficult task. But love obviously prevails in the end.
You two had found a way to integrate quality time amidst all the hustle and bustle. Which was basically in the form of walking home together once the day was coming to an end. It was small but treasured time. Yet there was a silent tension between you two that indicated it wasn't exactly enough. Just why did your house have to appear in sight so soon?
In a desperate attempt to prolong the moment you abruptly suggested getting ice-cream before you could even stop the thought. "Ice-cream?" Eunhyeok repeated thoughtfully. "If you want to then I don't see why not. Come on." He laced his fingers with yours and led you to the nearest convenience store.
Once there he bought you your favorite flavor and sat down beside you on a bench located outside, the cool night air a pleasant contrast from the early day heat. Eunhyeok watched you thoughtfully lick your ice-cream. "What's wrong? You seem distracted." He asked, noting your odd behavior. Were things usually this awkward and silent? He wondered if the lack of time together had to play a part.
Though his thoughts didn't get very far ahead as he noticed the smudge of cream settled on the side of your lip. Eunhyeok smiled. "Oh." He tapped his lip with his finger trying to indicate you had gotten ice-cream there. But it seemed there was severe miscommunication as you froze and responded with a quick kiss against his lips.
He had to take a good second to process what had just happened. You must've thought he was asking for a kiss. Eunhyeok couldn't help the laugh that escaped him. "So that's what was bothering you. You just wanted more affection. All you had to do was say, {{user}}."
He leaned closer and wiped the ice-cream off your lip. "And that's what I was referring to."
