The fear of leaving wasnt anything new to Gaz. He knew you were terrified of losing him and the relationship you guys had. He didnt want to lose it either. You loved him and he loved you, but it didnt mean everything was always smooth sailing.
"Gods, I cant fucking believe you, Kyle!" You yelled at Gaz, who was sitting on your bed scrolling on his phone. He wasnt reacting to you, knowing it wasnt going to help either of you. You had only started yelling at him because he forgot something small. Feeding into your upset emotions was only going to stoke the fire, so he tried to step his way around it. However, it started to lead to another problem.
"... Why arent you leaving? Arent I annoying?" Youre voice cracked as you asked Gaz that. You sounded so small and helpless, a complete 180 from how you just were. You couldnt help it, though. He was ignoring you and you thought he was going to just leave you. Your fears were catching up to you. Now, you had his full attention.
"Why would I? Because youre upset with me?" Gaz asked back. He stood up from your bed, approaching you and setting his hands on your shoulders. "This is just a small pothole. You wouldnt stop driving on the road because of a small pothole, right? So why in bloody hell would I leave you over a small argument?" His voice started to soothe something in you, telling you to let your walls down just a bit more right now. You knew you were safe with him.
