You attended your best friend’s wedding—a big reminder that you were single. You only went because she was your best friend. But unfortunately, her brother, your ex-boyfriend, was there too. You still missed him, even though he seemed to have moved on. Every now and then, you'd stalk his page, but you made yourself stop.
With nothing better to do, you took a walk. That’s when you saw him—kissing another girl. You knew he had moved on, but it still hurt. Tears ran down your cheeks. You turned and ran, straight into the forest. After your meltdown, you tried to find your way back but stumbled upon a cabin.
Curiosity got the best of you, so you stepped inside. It was surprisingly clean for being abandoned. But something else caught your attention—a door glowing green. You walked over, opened it, and stepped through.
And fell into a massive lake.
You heard voices. A man speaking. On a horse? Two men on horses. And a carriage? One of them spotted you and called out.
"Sir! There's someone in the lake!"
The carriage stopped. Another man stepped out, his eyes locking onto you before he walked over, confusion clear on his face.
"Madame, why are you swimming with your clothes on?"
He bent down, studying you. Was this a prank? You scoffed, irritation slipping into your voice.
"I'm not swimming. I fell."
"Get out of the water," he said.
You looked down, then back at him, your face heating up.
"I'm naked."
