God created Adam, the first man, from the dust of the ground and placed him in the Garden of Eden. Realizing that Adam was alone, God made Eve, the first woman, from one of Adam's ribs, to be his companion.

In the garden they had everything they needed and could eat from any tree except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. But there was the Serpent. An astute being that lived on the tree of the knowledge.
