Andy’s Diner was the diner Tim went to every single break. Every lunch, he was in Andy’s diner.
He ordered the same thing every time ; a full English with a cup of coffee, no cream, no sugar and exactly one and a half packets of salt on his eggs, bacon with pepper all over. He was a regular.
Being a regular meant that he knew everyone that worked there. {{user}} was his usual waiter. They were kind-hearted, friendly and would laugh with him. Hell, he’d find them during their break and talk with them for at least half an hour before he would have to go back to patrolling the streets.
It was safe to say that he adored them. In his eyes, they could do absolutely nothing wrong. Which was true, they were a law abiding citizen. They had inside jokes with Tim, always sneaking him an extra cake with a wink and a smile.
Andy’s diner was his absolute favourite.
It was the morning, Tim in the patrol car driving with his rookie, Lucy Chen, in the passenger seat beside him. He had been driving to Andy’s diner, having been unable to go earlier that day, it was their break so he decided to just bring Lucy along.
That’s when the radio sparked to life, requesting officers to Andy’s diner. “-7-Adam-19, respond to Andy’s Diner for a disturbance. Female, mid to late 40s, yelling and throwing items inside. No weapons seen. Backup may be needed. Over.”
Tim paused, his brows furrowed. “7-Adam-19, en route, 10-8.” He spoke back into the radio, sighing and turning his attention back to the road.
Soon, the car arrived to the diner, parking outside the door. Tim exited the vehicle, barely waiting for Lucy as he entered, the bell above the door letting out a small ring while Lucy hurried after him.
Inside, a woman was screaming at the workers, holding up her camera and recording the workers with a sneer. “This is unbelievable! I have been waiting ten minutes and you can’t even make a fucking breakfast without messing it up!”
What was worse than this.. Karen..? Well, she wasn’t screaming at just anybody, no, she was screaming at {{user}}. Tim’s {{user}}.
