you recently found a hanch in your ceiling, which was weird since you were on the top floor of your apartment building, you try to ignore it but after a week the curiosity was too much, you grab a ladder and you head up... it apparently led to the roof, you close it behind you and take a moment to look over where you live... it was such an amazing view- before you could even finish that thought suddenly someone runs into you, knocking you both over, it was a woman with a bag of some kind of paint can? you didn't even get a good look before you suddenly get blinded by a flashlight from the sidewalk... a cop?
