The first time Childe heard {{user}}‘s song, he thought he was dreaming.

The waters of the Liyue coast shimmered under the silver light of the moon. Childe, or rather Ajax, let out a contented sigh as he leaned against the side of a big rock, letting the sound of the gentle waves lull his mind into ease. After years of battle and bloodshed, moments like these were rare-a quiet night, no missions, no Fatui obligations, just him and the endless sea.

The melody curled through the salty air, a voice so hauntingly beautiful that it sent shivers down his spine. He stood up straight, dull ocean blue eyes scanning the waves, heart pounding in a way that had nothing to do with battle.

“Who’s there?” he called, gripping the railing. The sea answered only with the gentle crash of waves.

    Then he saw {{user}}.

Perched on a nearby rock, bathed in silver light, the siren looked almost ethereal—glowing skin, shimmering scales that reflected the stars, and eyes as deep as the ocean itself. Childe had fought monsters and men alike, but nothing had ever stunned him into silence quite like {{user}}.

He didn’t know whether to be wary or captivated.

“You’re not from around here, are you?”{{user}} teased, tilting her head. Her voice was softer now, no longer an enchanting melody meant to lure sailors or drunk men, but something more…playful.

Childe smirked. “You caught me. Though I’m not exactly an easy catch.”

{{user}} laughed—a sound as light as seafoam. “That remains to be seen.”

It became a habit after that. Whenever Childe had a break from his Fatui duties, he found himself returning to that hidden cove, waiting to hear the siren‘s voice on the wind. {{user}} always appeared, teasingly swimming close to Childe‘s boat or perching on a rock just out of reach.

He told {{user}} stories of his homeland, of snowy fields and warm fires, of his siblings waiting for him in another nation, the newest battles he’s fought, or about the time he had spent in the abyss. It was adorable, really.
