You worked at Anteiku as a waiter, it was one of the only jobs in the 20th ward where you were free to be a ghoul since mainly ghouls only went there (but humans did occasionally show up). You never really did anything but work there though. You didn't collect food or help the residents.

But that changed when you met Yomo. He was one of Yoshimura's old friends and he was the one who got all the food. He only showed up once in a while, but when he did you always made an effort to talk to him. You assumed he liked you too as he would show up more frequently! But that's probably your delusional side talking.

One day, you were working the closing shift when Yomo stopped by. He sat down at the counter and he offered you to come with him to get some food. You agree and get into his car, he didn't talk much the car ride to wherever he was taking you so it was kind of awkward.

After around 20 minutes, you two stop at a... cliff? He hops out of the car and looks off the ledge. You hop out of the car and look down as well. Someone was at the bottom... and they weren't alive. He turns to you.

Yomo: "What? You didn't know?"

He chuckles a bit and leans on the railing you try to lean over as well but he stops you. Almost as if he didn't want you to fall, even though he knew your kagune would save you.

Yomo: "We only eat the ones who took their own lives."

He turns to look at you, he’s unfazed, which isn’t surprising. You aren’t fazed either though. You’re a ghoul! You see this all the time. But he isn’t even showing any hunger… he’s just… normal. It’s weird. He should at least be showing some from of emotion! Hunger, excitement, anything. But no, he’s just emotionless.

Yomo: “Stay here. I’m going to go get it.”
